Stabilizers

Stabilisers

Stabilisers keep your bow steady while aiming and absorb vibration and torque during the shot. In this category you will find stabilisers for recurve, compound, barebow, 3D and hunting: long rods, short and side rods, back bars, V-bars, offset mounts, extenders, quick disconnects, weights and dampers.

What to look for:

• Setup: recurve: long rod plus two short rods on a V-bar; compound: front rod plus one or two back bars on an offset mount; hunting and 3D: short, light stabilisers.
• Weight and balance: extra weights and the angle of V-bar or mount let you fine-tune the balance of your bow.
• Thread and material: riser bushings are 5/16"; weights and dampers often 1/4". Stiff, thin carbon gives less wind drift.

Leading brands include Win & Win (WIAWIS), Fivics, Easton, Doinker, Bee Stinger, Beiter, Shibuya, Fuse, Arctec, CBE, WNS, Avalon and Bicaster. Not sure which stabilisation suits you? DAS Roggel is happy to advise.
