Crossbow Arrows-Bolts

Crossbow bolts

Crossbow bolts (arrows) in aluminium and carbon, from short pistol crossbow bolts to 22" bolts for powerful compound crossbows. Choosing the right bolt is essential for safety and accuracy.

What to look for:

• Length and weight: always use the length and minimum bolt weight (grains) prescribed by the crossbow manufacturer; bolts that are too light can damage the crossbow.
• Nock type: half-moon, flat (flatback) or capture nocks: the nock must match your crossbow.
• Material: aluminium bolts are affordable and sturdy; carbon bolts are straighter, more consistent and more durable.
• Points: field points for target shooting; check the thread (usually 8/32) of the screw-in points.

Leading brands include Easton, Excalibur, Ravin, TenPoint, EK Archery (Cobra), Black Eagle and Victory. Not sure which bolts fit your crossbow? DAS Roggel is happy to advise.
